Set the world on fire

We all desire purpose. As people we want to make a difference. We want to leave beyond a legacy, something to be remember. We want to make a difference in this world.

Sometimes it's hard because we feel like we are one person. We are small. In a world so big with so much evil and so much conflict, how can one voice seem to make any difference?

  • SUSAN B. ANTHONY
  • HARRIET TUBMAN
  • MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR.
  • ABRAHAM LINCOLN
  • 9/11 EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAMS
  • POLICE OFFICERS
  • TEACHERS
  •  MILITARY PERSONAL
  • A PERSON WHO INVITED SOMEONE TO CHURCH
  • A STRANGER WHO MAKES A DONATION TO HELP A FAMILY

This is only a small list of people who have made a difference in this world.  Changing the life of just one person for the better is making a difference. That person may then go on and change someone else's life for the better... creating a domino effect. Through generosity and a caring spirit, we can make huge differences in peoples' lives.  By demonstrating our generosity and caring spirit, we teach our children that it's important and they may follow in our foot steps.

Here is what I want to know today... How are you going to make a difference? What are you going to do to set the world on fire?

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers."
~ Galations 6:10
