The fun things that mommies do...

So a few days ago, I blogged about the hard stuff that moms have to do. That's the deal, as the mom you get to step up to the plate even when you really want to head back to the locker room.  Sometimes though, being the momma is a lot of fun.

This weekend was a lot of fun for me and had many precious moments. On Friday, I was pretty upset that my kiddos were missing around when I was on an important phone call. They knew I was upset and they gave me a genuine apology. On many occasions, my kiddos may have already found themselves grounded for the weekend for many of their behaviors on Friday. I was thinking that interrupting my phone call would have been my last straw. Instead I had grace. They knew they blew it, they apologized and I forgave them and moved on. Because I was able to that I shared a very precious moment.

Princess was able to go to gymnastics. She happened to miss pizza with the rest of us because she got home so late. So she curled up with Peter on the coach while eating her pizza. Together they watched the end of the Brewer's game. It was such an adorable father & daughter moment. I'm so glad that I could just seem this bonding moment that was so precious and adorable!

Saturday, the kiddos were with Peter for most of the day as I was off at this awful foster parent training.  I dropped my peep off at her house. Her son, being so adorable, asks if my son could play. Without even thinking about myself being tired or what was going on, I said "You can come over if your mom says it's ok". And before my peep could answer, her daughter was in the car. So home I come and now we have five children in the house. Everything is great, but a little uneven for my oldest daughter. So I tell her to call her bff and see if she could sleep over too. So Peter runs to the store to get more breakfast items for the small army that is camping over and picks up Peaches' bff.

What a great night for my kiddos. Six children under one roof. Video games, Sponge Bob, Big Time Rush songs, oreos, gaming and trampolines... Just a really fun evening for them. It was a blessing to me to have all the kiddos so happy in my home. In the morning we made breakfast and had a little time to play before everyone returned home.

Tonight we dragged Peter to the store. The kiddos all picked out their Halloween costumes. This year we will have a Batgirl, Batman and a Fairy.  It's just one of the perks of being the momma. Seeing your kiddos shine with excitement and dreams. It makes the hard stuff a little easier to deal with.
