I'm having a month of not slowing down. I'm sure many mommas are feeling it right about now. It's August, and many of us have seen the school supplies or already have them packed and loaded for the 1st Day. Some of us have the count downs on the calendars. Some of us are trying to squeeze in those last few fun things of the summer.
It's not slowing down. Time almost seems to be speeding up.
I've been just crazy busy. For one, my grandmother has moved to Wisconsin. She isn't too far away from me. She is having a hard time adjusting to the move. It appears that more of my free time will now need to be going to visit her with the kids. For it's my kiddos that seem to bring her a lot of joy and helps to ease her stress. Sometimes, it would be more comfortable just trying to hang at home, but doing what I'm called takes obedience.
The season of busy is knocking. My son is starting football this week. Dance will start up soon for my oldest. Princess has her first gymnastics meet in less than 40 days. It's getting busy on our calendar.
I also just had boxes of school books and supplies dropped off at my front door. My twins are starting virtual school in just about two more weeks. I'm trying to get organized and figure out what my role as "learning coach" will be. It's going to be a change and we'll need to be disciplined.
In the midst of this, I'm party planning. My oldest is having her birthday this weekend. I can't believe she'll be a teenager. Then hopefully really soon, we'll be having an adoption celebration party also.
Yeah, it's just not slowing down around here anytime soon.
