Almost everything and everyone is replaceable.
It's how our "throw" away society is, isn't it? Don't like it, toss it and get something better. Looking a little worn around the edges, get the newer and shinier one.
Memories can also be replaceable. When things are going alright for you, then the happy memories flow. Like all the birthday parties, going places, picnics, and just hanging out. I have nearly 16 photos albums for less than 3 years with my kiddos. There are happy memories all over the place.
But when things go wrong, some of those happy memories are replaced with sadness. The regret of things going a different way than plan. A distance that continues to grow deeper. Watching the outlines of the happy places and faces fade.
Perhaps if everything is so replaceable, that is also why things can become so meaningless?
"I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind". ~ Ecclesiastes 1:14
