Summer Time

Summer time is here.

There are so many things to look forward to:  baseball games, Noah's Ark, watermelon, the pool, sitting out in the yard, grilling out, field trips to the museum, zoo and Old World Wisconsin... But nothing in this world is sweeter to me than being home with my kiddos.  I am very fortunate to be able to have the opportunity to be at home with my kiddos and I recognized how blessed I am.

This summer, I'm again looking forward to field trips. I hope to go to the Public Museum, Old World Wisconsin, Noah's Ark, and Betty Brinn.  Maybe this year we will also squeeze a trip in to Great America, Discovery World or somewhere else new.  These trips fill many of our photo albums and they have lasting memories.  We also will be at the pool too.

This year, there will be firsts with camp too. Princess is going to her team gymnastics camp. She is getting ready to compete at Nationals!  Mr. Handsome is going to a sports camp. He's so excited to be trying a lot of different sports.  Peach is going to her first OVERNIGHT camp!  (I'm sure I'll be ok to let her go, right?)  Peach is doing a POM camp at UW-Milwaukee.

The kiddos will be doing other fun things too. Peaches will have her dance/pom practice throughout the summer. I am also hoping to get her involved in a youth ministry.  Mr. Handsome is trying out tennis for the first time. He's been asking for some time to do this. (Cause tennis is a great WINTER sport! -- NOT!)  The twins will be going to swim lessons with their friends this summer as well.

Summer is a great time for our family vacation up north. We love hanging out by the lake, swimming, fishing and playing in the sand. I love the campfires with smores. I love sleeping in and hanging out reading. We love to go in town and the girls go horseback riding while the boys ride the go-karts. It wouldn't be a trip up north either without completing a puzzle!

What are you looking forward to most this summer?  Whatever it is, my hope for you is that it creates life long happy memories for you and your family.  Enjoy it!
