Goodbye 2012

Goodbye 2012.

You have been another roller coaster year.  Overall, it's been a pretty good year.

This year, I've been happy to return to things I enjoy.  I've enjoyed returning to bible studies and mom time. I also enjoyed returning to "work" even if it isn't many hours.  I've enjoyed being treasurer again this year and finished my 3rd run at putting on the school's sock hop.

I've enjoyed being with family and friends. I've enjoyed watching my daughter compete at her 1st National gymnastics meet.  I've enjoyed watching my other daughter march in her first parades with her pom team.  I've enjoyed watching my son flourish in cooking classes and competing in his first Tae Kwon Do tournament.  My hubby got a PS3 for Christmas and is a happy fellow being able to play "more adult" video games. We are even enjoying playing games together again.

Most memorable for me this year is having the TPR process completed. That we are finally moving toward adopting our wonderful kiddos. We are still having to wait through the appeals process, but it's ok. It may all become official some time in 2013 (maybe summer?).

We eagerly look forward to 2013 with it's promises.  I hope that my son will find tools to help him cope, focus and be successful in all that he does.  I look forward to him beginning lessons on the drums as a way of finding comfort and healing. I hope that his twin sister will continue to flourish in her academics as she has made so many gains. I hope that she also enjoys trying new things like soccer this spring.  I hope my oldest continues to mature in her relationships with her friends. I know her determination and hard work will only help to make 2013 another great year for her.  I also look forward to a year of getting to move on from this system that weighs us down. I'm looking forward to being a family without constant interruptions of workers coming in and out of the house. I look forward to having time with my hubby, either with an upcoming bible study or chillin' at home playing video games.

Welcome 2013. Welcome the anticipation that you can be better than the years past and bring a renewed hope. May God bless my friends in family in this up coming year.

Peace be with you.
