When I am facing trails, God is with me.
When my plan gets "derailed", God is with me.
When I'm broken, God is with me.
When I sit in an unfriendly court room, God is with me.
When I don't understand what's going on, God is with me.
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
Yesterday, I sat in a court room. My husband got derailed on the way to the courthouse and had to fix a server at work. I sat there alone. Watching the children's mother, aunt and grandmother sit just feet away from me. Of course, court wasn't running on time. It actually was more than 1 and 1/2 hours late. The Guardian Ad Litem got called into a different courtroom and never was able to return. Our social worker also got called into a different courtroom, but did return. It was a very unorganized mess.
I managed to stay centered and keep a peace with me. I knew that God was with me. I happened to be on Facebook and saw someone that I knew just happened to be sitting in the same courthouse, just downstairs actually. They may not know it, but to me, they had a second mission. Those familiar faces helped me through a difficult time, it helped me stay calm. God was good to me. My hubby made it to the courthouse just in time to walk into the courtroom.
I'd love to say anything exciting happened. Truth is, we waited 1 and 1/2 hours to be told "come back next week". That's ok. God will be with then too.
