This weekend has been a very blessed weekend. My youngest daughter took her daddy on a date to the father/daughter dance at the YMCA. She was so cute when she asked him. She also treated him to dinner at Burger King before hand. (Bacon cheeseburgers).
My oldest daughter had a great weekend with her bff. Just hanging out and chillin'. Getting a break from us. I think she just needed a little space. It was hard for me cause I really missed having her around.
So with my girls gone, and the hubby gone... that left me and my son. We don't usually have the opportunity to have time just the two of us. So I wanted to make sure we did something special. He was my date for dinner. He wanted McDonald's, but I got him to agree to a local Greek restaurant instead.
Here are a few lessons that my dear son might need to learn before he begins dating...
1. You should probably have enough cash to cover the cost of dinner. (Although, since you are with mom, this wasn't really an issue.)
2. You probably shouldn't grab food off your date's plate. (I'm glad you liked my pita bread, but you could have asked).
3. Girls just don't think it's attractive to watch you chew with you mouth full. (And really, didn't I teach you better than that?)
4. When at a restaurant with a TV, you still need to pay attention to your date and not tune out. (huh you ask... I saw you staring at the girl on the surfboard during the commercial).
5. No flirting with the waitress. I know you're cute, but...
In all seriousness, I am just very happy to have a fun evening with my boy. For he is 100% boy. All crazy. All sticky. All cute. All charming. My son, an amazing and wonderful Valentine's date.
